Reservations can be made for this shelter beginning May 1st annually.
Reservations are required from the Saturday before Memorial Day to Labor Day
annually. Outside of these dates, the shelter is first come, first serve.
This shelter is limited to no more than fifty (50) people.
There are no water or electric utilities available.
There is NO ALCOHOL allowed at this shelter or at this park.
There are no lifeguards on duty at this park. Swimming is at your own risk. Never swim
alone, and children under eighteen (18) must be supervised at all times while in or near
the water.
Reservations are NON-REFUNDALBLE.

Wooded Grove, surrounded by adjacent forest land and along one of Rhode Island's largest freshwater ponds
Swimming, Picnicing, Wildlife Watching, with Boating, Fishing, and Hiking nearby
4 self-composting toilets, paved parking lot with approximately 115 parking spots, shetlered pavillion that will hold a maximum of 50 people, approximately 20 first come/first picnic tables. Shelter rental allows for 3 cars to park at the shelter with a slightly sloped gravel path leading from the paved parking lot to the shelter. Approximate length of gravel path from parking lot to shelter is 140 feet.
Burlingame Camground, East Beach State Beach/Ninigret Conservation Area, Charlestown Breachway State Beach & Campground, Misquamicut State Beach, Kimball Sanctuary, Kettle Pond US Fish & Wildlife Visitor Center, Ninigret Pond National Wildlife Refuge, several restaurants, bank and convenience stores within a short drive.

Violation of any rule and/or regulation is grounds for revocation of the shelter permit. If a permit is revoked, no refund will be issued. Any person or persons voided on a permit are not allowed to reenter this park for the duration of the year.
